Developmental Disabilities (DD) Policy Analyst

As a DD Analyst...

The primary focus of this position is to help ensure compliance, program contracts and delivery of services, as well as the development of policy and subsequent trainings. This position completes analysis of federal, state and local regulations related to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Writing and amending Oregon Administrative Rules and amending rules as applicable are key components to this position. Additionally, responsibilities include engaging, managing, coordinating, and monitoring services for children and adults with developmental disabilities who receive services from the Community Developmental Disability Programs (CDDPs) or Brokerages.  On occasion, policy analysts will be called upon to review and comment on legislative concepts or bills proposed in the current Oregon legislative session. On occasion, policy analysts will be called upon to respond to public concerns and complaints that are received either by ODDS or the Governor’s Advocacy Office. 

The DD Analyst works at the Office of Developmental Disabilities Services (ODDS) overseeing programs and policies. This includes stakeholder engagement, writing policy and rule, providing training and technical assistance, etc. 

Average Wage Range

$45,000-$95,000 annual salary

To become a DD Analyst

Developmental Disabilities Analysts will typically have a Bachelor’s  or Master’s degree coupled with extensive experience (five years or more) in the I/DD or human services field.
